What God's been doing!!!

April 22, 2008 - God is good and continues to show Himself in Mighty ways.  We are blessed with 12 awesome guys and 2 lovely ladies who have turned it all over to the Lord and He is truly doing great works.  It is the greatest blessing you can imagine watching the Holy Spirit work in the lives of these people!  We are still working to be able to go back into the field for church but until then we have 7 bible studies a week plus many impromptoos.  Lives are being restored, addictions are being broken and Jesus is being glorified!  We are looking at some possiblilites for a new sanctuary, plan to always keep the building on the corner, but we need room to grow and may have to go somewhere close by to get it.

3 men have completed the program, been restored with thier families and moved on in life (isn't HE GOOD!)  Many have been assisted in getting into Christ centered, residential recovery programs and many have gotten to go home.   Oh and the building is now bright yellow and shining like the Love of Jesus on the corner (new pics soon)

November 5, 2007   - We've got so much to share about what God has been doing in last couple of weeks. Where to begin? Well, the House of Paul has been transformed from a place where the Disciples were living into a Transition Home for men. They come in homeless, lost and broken and leave with jobs, a future and a foundational knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. HOW COOL!

Are you ready for this??? We were given a HOUSE!!! We just moved in last week and it has been such a blessing. It allows us to have the Disciples living at our house, but still have the privacy of home. This is because it has a garage with rooms above it and the men live up there and allows them to have their own private time as well.  This house is so big that we also have the opportunity to bring in women and they too can live in a house where Christ is King and His Word is spoken constantly.

It just keeps getting better! Last week, at the new house, the News Journal came down and had an interview with us, wanting to know more about the D.O.C. and what we are all about.  They are doing mini-documentary on the D.O.C. and have been coming around for a few weeks and on November 18th it will be online for everyone to see along with an article in the paper that day.

Our Thursday night services have been booming with many volunteers, visitors, regulars, 16 new brothers and sisters and so on. And now we've even had worship during the service, which has simply been fantastic. Please pray that the Lord will bless us with more people willing to do worship because it really needs to keep up and running. Soon we will have a new HUGE tent that will allow us to keep the service growing without any problems. We will be able to seat over 500 people under the tent. Such a blessing!!!

Ray is excited because he gets the opportunity to speak at Church 4 Men at the Salvation Army on LPGA November 17th at 6:00 p.m.

A group of people from Retro (the 20 somethings group at Tomoka Christian Church) came this past Saturday and painted the inside of the D.O.C. and WOW!!! does it look great! Thanks to the entire group for their help. You did great!

Lastly, after six months of intensive prayer, we finally had our first "official" board meeting for the D.O.C. It went great! Everyone was on the same page as to where we are headed, which was really awesome to see.  This allows us to continue to move forward without any speed bumps or hold ups.

Continue to keep the D.O.C. and all its voluteers, workers and anyone else involved with this place in your prayers as we continue to be on the front lines of this daily battle for the enternal lives of the hurting people of Daytona Beach.

Praise the Lord!!!
